The Legacy

Some of my childhood summers were spend collecting stones at Gjerrild Nordstrand, where my uncle lived. I went back in 2023 on the basis of an invitation from Iben West, who has a small exhibition place ingerb__ in the middle of nature and apparent summer house idyll. ´The Legacy´ consists of nine stones that have been collected, processed and re-placed at a location that has in a way ceased to exist, but somehow remains.

The title is taken from the iconic heavy metal band, Iron Maiden and was written with the foundation of the same name. ´The Legacy´ is the last track of the album ´A Matter of Life and Death´.
